On April 26, 25 Mason graduates were celebrated for their accomplishments and contributions to the university community at the 2023 Lavender and Women and Gender Studies Graduation, held in the Johnson Center Bistro.

George Mason University President Gregory Washington has announced the recipients of the 2023 Presidential Awards for Faculty Excellence, honoring 12 Mason faculty members for their work on behalf of the university, students, and the broader community.

An update on the process Mason will follow to distribute this year’s increase in base compensation for all state employees.

Beginning this year, the number of awards have been increased for full-time faculty members. The faculty cited for 2022 come from five Mason schools.

It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic news of the death of Michael Buschmann, Eminent Scholar and Chair of Mason’s Bioengineering Department in the College of Engineering and Computing. A scholar, university leader and man of compassion and integrity; his untimely death saddens all who knew and loved him.

As we welcome students back for the first day of Spring 2022 classes, I want to thank you for your collective work and diligence to make this spring’s resumption of classes another safe one.

The global pandemic has brought mental health and well-being to the forefront, and Mason provides a variety of services and strategies to the community for addressing those challenges.

George Mason University President Gregory Washington has announced the recipients of the 2021 Presidential Awards for Faculty Excellence honoring the contributions of six Mason professors to the university, Mason students, and the greater community.

Na’ama Gold is from Arad, Israel, and has been working in the United States for the past six years. She has led Mason Hillel for four of those years.
